Course Description: Letter Sounds and Recognition

This course is designed to help early and remedial learners build a strong foundation in literacy by focusing on letter recognition and sound awareness. Students will learn to identify uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and associate each letter with its corresponding sound. Through engaging, multisensory activities such as songs, games, storytelling, tracing, and object matching, learners will develop the skills needed to recognize letters, produce their sounds, and begin blending them to form simple words.

The course supports different learning styles—visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writing—to ensure that every student can actively participate and succeed. By the end of the course, students will demonstrate improved phonemic awareness, accurate letter-sound correspondence, and greater confidence in their early reading and writing abilities.
