CSEC Information Technology (Asynchronous)
This self-paced course prepares students for the CSEC IT examination and supports SBA skill development. Learning is organized into five syllabus-aligned topics each with a short lesson, guided practice, and an assessment to build knowledge from fundamentals to productivity tools and databases.
What you’ll learn

Explain the computer system (hardware, software, OS functions, storage, and I/O) and compare devices/media.

Apply structured problem-solving using algorithms, pseudocode, and flowcharts with sequence, selection, and iteration.

Build spreadsheet models using formulas, functions (e.g., IF, lookup, and summary), absolute/relative references, and basic charts.

Produce professional documents and slide decks; plan and create a simple multi-page website with working links.

Design simple databases: tables with appropriate data types/keys, queries/filters, forms, and grouped/summarized reports.
